Orlando Pirates have completed the signing of former Mpumalanga Black Aces and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane. The general response from the supporters has been one of elation, but what this means for Brighton Mhlongo's future remains to be seen.
Supporters Club caught up with Buccaneer faithful Lucky Vilakazi to find out what he thinks of this latest development.
"I think this is lovely news. This team is shaping up nicely, I think we are going to do great things next season," he said.
"We really struggle when it comes to goalkeepers. Don't get me wrong, I love Brighton and he has done so much for us, but I just do not think he is up to Pirates' standard.
"You know, since the late Senzo Meyiwa passed away, Pirates have never been able to find a replacement for him.
"I'm not saying Jackson can replace Senzo because no one can. But our keeping department is in need of some beefing up and I think this is a good first step by coach Muhsin Ertugral, a good signing indeed."
Do you think Jackson will be the club's No. 1? Is he the answer to the Buccaneers keeping problems?
