The title race is heating up, and it is getting more interesting by the day. At one stage of the season, it seemed as if there was nothing that could stop the Yellow Train from demolishing all that was in its path. Now, it seems the Clever Boys may just be able to steal the show.
David Mdwaba, a Bidvest Wits supporter and university student, was elated after the results in the PSL this week.
"It is brilliant! Wits won and Sundowns drew. How fantastic is that?" he asked.
"I think now we can say there is a definite possibility that we will steal the show at the death.
"I have the ultimate faith in coach Gavin Hunt."
It would most certainly be a party spoiler if Wits were to come from behind and win the league, forcing Sundowns to put the cork back in the champagne bottle.
"It is a funny thing. I won't event mind if we come second, because if you told someone a year or two ago that Wits might be contending for the league, they would laugh in your face," Mdwaba added.
"People laughed at Wits… Who's laughing now?"
The Clever Boys now sit only four points behind the Brazilians, with four games left to play. Sundowns will have a tough challenge when they face off against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday. The best part about the run-in to the finish is that these two local giants, Wits and Sundowns, still have to play each other…
With four games left, do you think Wits can do it?
