Ajax Cape Town are starting to see better days again having now secured two consecutive PSL wins under new head coach Stanley Menzo. The Urban Warriors have had a torrid start to the 2016/17 campaign, which saw them go rock-bottom of the log. However, there seems to be a new lease of life at Ikamva.
Speaking to Supporters Club, loyal Urban Warriors fan Gladys Gailey expressed her delight after her side secured a victory against reigning African champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday night.
"You wouldn't believe this, I was knocked out at the time the match was on because of a catering job I was doing during the day," she said.
"I had taken a sleeping tablet but then my husband had the game on and I just had to get up because that performance from my team was incredible!
"Now that was the Ajax we know and love.
"As I have said before, there is no way that we can throw in the towel at the moment because it is still early days.
"We really bounced back and the players made me very happy.
"I hope that they continue to improve and get us back to the top."
