Ndlovu Out, Mabena In... Still No Sign Of Erasmus

Tumbling and turning, the Bafana Bafana squad is all over the show at the moment. Many have questioned certain exclusions and puzzled over questionable inclusions in the squad. The most recent news is the replacement of the injured Dino Ndlovu with Ndumiso Mabena… What do the people think of this?

Some quoted this switch as being another step on Shakes Mashaba's path to becoming the most controversial Bafana Bafana coach in history, while others thought this was a move that finally made some sense.

"Not bad, Mabena has been shining this season." – Nqobeh

"He is good and strong, give him a chance" – arthurlotenyane

A few of the Supporters thought that Mabena and Bafana would share a marvellous relationship, and that he would strike us to new heights. Unfortunately, this was not the most popular view.

"Nomvethe is better." – coolbaams

"This is blasphemy, Mabena isn't Bafana material… Mashaba holds grudges and doesn't select players on form." – Lebogang Darious Mabihin

The rest of the Supporters were of the view that Mabena was the wrong man to fire up the Bafana engine ahead of their crucial double header against Cameroon.

The majority of those who disagreed with the new selection a single, but powerful, reasoning for their view: is Ndumiso Mabena really the best we have? Is he better than Kermit Erasmus?

The Rennes striker's exclusion from the national team has been a point of confusion for the supporters for a while now. Perhaps personal issues between him and Coach Mashaba are the root of his exclusion; however, most Supporters are clear on their stance… Bafana Bafana is not the place for personal grudges.

Do you think Mabena is the right man for the job? Would you rather see Erasmus there?
