In the football world, players come and go, and, at times, it leaves the fans questioning how their beloved teams can release key individuals. One of the most recent cases would be the transfer list that was recently released by Orlando Pirates, which raised a few eyebrows as some unexpected names featured.
It does seem rather strange that the Buccaneers have put winger Sifiso Myeni on the chopping block as there is no doubt as to the player's ability. Although his time at the Mayfair-based club has been plagued by injury, Myeni has been an instrumental figure in the Bucs line-up. Whenever he donned the Pirates kit, you would definitely see the 28-year-old give it his all, and it would also be unfair to expect him to be on top of his game after breaking a few bones.
Since there have been a few new faces added to the team, with the likes of Riyaad Norodien, Mahlatse Makudubela, Ayanda Nkosi and Sello Japhta, who can all play in Myeni's position, it would have been great to see the competition as the former Bidvest Wits player has years of experience and could have been a mentor to these younger men.
It would be interesting to see which PSL club snatches up the Soweto-born man who is still hungry for success. Will the Buccaneers regret letting him go?
Which PSL team do you think should sign Myeni?
