Morris: I Wanted To Give Back To The Club That Gave Me A Platform

Nasief Morris is in the building, and has answered your questions! Today, he discusses his decision to play for Santos when he returned from overseas, and the highlights of his career.

Hi Nasief. How do you feel about being regarded as a South African football legend? – Slulami

Nasief Morris: Obviously, it's an honour! It is something that I have always dreamed of since I was a kid, and I am glad that I can stand up today and say that I have achieved my dream.

When you came back from overseas, you decided to join Santos instead of one of the giants. What was the reason for that? – LAPO_MOLEBATSI

NM: Well, Santos was where I started my career and I felt that, when I returned, I had the opportunity and the experience to give back to the club that gave me a platform.

Welcome to Soccer Laduma, buddy. Tell me, what is the highlight of your career, from playing in the top league to the dusty one? – TsietsoMocha

NM: My highlights would, firstly, be representing my country at all levels, from the youth to the senior team. Playing in Europe at the highest level was definitely a great experience for me. Now, I feel that I have an opportunity to give back to the younger players as I am playing at Milano.

Apart from football, what other sport would you like to participate in? – Skhumba41

NM: As a career, I don't see any other sport that I would take up. There's a lot of sports that I enjoy watching. Maybe I would take up snooker as some people regard it as a career, ha ha ha!

Stay tuned as Nasief will soon answer the rest of your questions!
