One thing is for certain, Kaizer Chiefs need change. The records broken by the club this season are the stuff of nightmares for the supporters. The Khosi Nation has, for a long time, been calling for some quality signings in order to change the team's fortunes. The latest probability comes in the form of Joseph Molangoane – what do the supporters make of this?
It seems Amakhosi supporters have picked up some patterns in the Naturena management's transfer strategies. Among them is a tendency to sign free agents. This has left many supporters feeling that the players signed are not good enough.
So what do the fans make of Molangoane, the 28-year-old midfielder from Chippa United who has scored four goals and provided four assists in 20 games this season? It seems opinions are split – some think he is the answer:
"Good player." – Sipho Sithole
"Maybe age is not on his side but he is a great player. Way, way, way better than Twala." – 305Majola
However, there are others who think he may be a good player, but is not in sync with Chiefs' style.
"Good luck, but can't see much potential that you can play for Chiefs." – Wake
"We don't want these kinds of players in Khosi Nation." – Shiloh wa le Khosi
And then there are those who think this possible signing is a bad idea altogether.
"But Chiefs are not ambitious any more." – Gcugcwa
"28 years! Where are the youngsters? Not young crocks, real talented youngsters. At age 31 or 32, this guy will be deemed surplus to requirements. He's definitely not a long-term solution, but a quick fix." – Ntswaki81
What do you make of the possibility of Molangoane going to Chiefs? Is he the answer to their problems?
