It sounds odd to be debating bringing back a striker who last played at a club 11 years ago and is now 32 years old. However, many in the Khosi Nation are wondering if Chiefs could be kicking themselves for not acquiring the services Collins Mbesuma, who has joined Highlands Park instead.
Many have stated that "Ntofontofo" is past his prime and that he would only do a disservice to Chiefs next season. However, one of our supporters, Setlaboswana, has stated that he was used correctly at Mpumalanga Black Aces under Muhsin Ertugral last season, and that he is still far ahead of the talent already at Naturena.
"If the coach understands his strong points as Muhsin did, he will continue to score goals, as long as he doesn't join Downs, Chiefs and Bucs he could shine. Overall, he is the only complete and proven striker still remaining in this league. Honestly, we cannot expect midfielders such as Parker, Katsande and intern Letlotlo to surpass Mbesuma.
Is Mbesuma the last remaining true striker in the league?
