There has been much speculation surrounding the veteran striker Collins Mbesuma following his release from Mpumalanga Black Aces (now Cape Town City). It seems that it is becoming clearer that he will be playing for the Lions of the North, Highlands Park next season, does the veteran still have the legs to make the supporters happy?
The supporters seem to think that, even in his old age, the striker could deliver an abundance of happiness to Tembisa come the new season.
“He (Mbesuma) is deadly when spoon fed with good passes. At Chiefs he got those from David Radebe. He is strong on the ball and can protect it in possession. He can also shoot with his left foot. A good buy.” – Dangerous_when_provoked.
Other supporters are licking their lips at the prospect of having Mbesuma partner Katlego Mashego at Highlands Park.
“He can form a deadly combination with Mashego.” – vonganithereturn.
While most think he will shine outside the spotlight of the big three.
“He will play without pressure.” – Ndlovul.
“Ntofontofo” finished last season as the top goalscorer in the PSL. For a newly promoted team in the form of Highlands Park, it seems some experience could be just what is needed to keep the side in top flight football and to keep the people of Tembisa smiling.
Can Mbesuma still add quality?
