With SuperSport United holding on to eighth position by a thread, Stuart Baxter's men will have to win their last fixtures in order to take part in the MTN8 next season – bear in mind that the Pretoria-based team is one side that has always been part of the competition.
The United fans have continuously shown faith in the work done by coach Baxter this season, and many of them believe he is the right man for the job.
"There is no doubt that he is a good coach," Lebo Ramano, a SuperSport United fan, said.
"Everyone needs to remember that it takes time to build a good team.
"Baxter needs to cement his style, and we will be a force to be reckoned with in coming seasons."
The team's performances have been decent over the past fixtures, but the club has managed to bag only 10 wins from 28 matches, which could be seen as disappointing for a previous league title winner.
"We did struggle for a while. The team wasn't playing too well, but now there seems to be some sort of stability, although it is too late for us to contend for the league," Ramano added.
"Our last hope is the Nedbank Cup trophy."
