The time has come! The day has arrived! South Africa will have to, temporarily, put down their club flags and adopt the Chloorkop colours as their own as Mamelodi Sundowns prepare to represent Mzansi in the CAF Champions League.
Today, as we bow our heads and pray that the sun shines over Chloorkop, we hear from SLSC committee member Mama Fefe.
"Firstly I'm a soccer slave I adore football very much. Let me express my gratitude to Soccer Laduma Supporters Club for giving me an opportunity to honour Sundowns for putting SA in the highest position, so everyone can recognise South African football because of them, this will be in the history of South Africa," she said.
"It's not easy to play CAF. We must all stand behind Sundowns; they must win as we all know they are not winning only for themselves, but for our country as well.
"My team is Kaizer Chiefs, and I love them so much. I love football and as we are love and peace people, we don't see any reason not to support Downs.
"Women, let's show the world that we are loyal to soccer, not just to our teams! We are in love with soccer, so please, Sundowns are playing at home, let's all support them. When I say women, it's because I'm proud of myself; it doesn't mean guys must relax. This is for all of us, les go sing, and support the boys! That's Mama Fefe Sonti wale Khosi!"
