As the season draws to a close and the PSL giants begin to shape and shift their squads to give themselves the best possible chance of winning the title in 2016/17, we begin to wonder: Who will leave and who will arrive? In Supporters Club, we search for what the heart of South African football, the supporters, want. Here is what they think of Lehlohonolo Majoro.
The striker is clearly unhappy with his current role at Orlando Pirates – he recently, and recklessly, tweeted that he was "tired of being a spectator" on Twitter.
Supporters were quick to react to this, and stated that he was unprofessional in doing this. Not only that, but it was also unwarranted, seeing as "Major" has only scored one goal in 639 minutes of football this season… Not a very encouraging statistic for a striker.
"I remember Major leaving the mighty KC football club, making reckless comments… Funny how things quickly change. Lesson to young players, don't make noise when leaving a team. No matter how disappointed you are, leave quietly… NFD waiting for you, Major. Follow Mphela." – zzzwivhuga
"Go back to AmaZulu FC, boy." – mbixane
"It's cold outside Naturena." – Khosiological
On top of this, in a flash poll conducted on the Soccer Laduma website, 70% of supporters stated that they thought Majoro should leave Pirates, while 30% thought he should stay.
It seems the writing is on the wall. With his contract expiring at the end of the month, one can take an educated guess in stating that he probably will not be plying his trade with the Buccaneers for much longer…
Do you think it was worth Pirates' time buying Majoro? If he leaves, which team should he go to next?
