Orlando Pirates have gone through some massive changes over the past couple months. A barren season has ended and a new era has arrived. A new coach and new players will be tasked with moving the Buccaneers forward as they gear up for their 80th anniversary celebrations.
Supporters Club caught up with Buccaneers fan Dejan Miladinovic to see what he thinks of all the changes happening at Mayfair.
"The fans of Orlando Pirates must be excited about the signing of the Ajax duo Mobara and Norodien," he said.
"The fans must be very excited. Khoza is now going for the talented young players, these guys can be involved in Pirates for many years. It's going to be very good for Muhsin as well, obviously he needs some time to adapt after so many years out of Soweto. The expectations for all these new faces in Pirates is high, so the challenge is there, but I believe they all want Pirates to become victorious.
"So far, very good signings have been made. A lot of players from the U23 squad are with us now, like Kutumela, Motupa and Mobara. These guys are the future. The U23s now belong to Pirates. They must play and they must enjoy themselves, and look forward to the challenge. But we welcome all these new guys with open arms. Mobara will do a lot to strengthen the defence with Gyimah, and Okwuosa from Nigeria. I believe Pirates defence can only get stronger. And don't forget, the signing is not done yet… There are a lot of surprises to come.
"Steven Pienaar has met with the chairman three times and they have already gone for coffee. I believe that joining Pirates, for him, is not even about the money, it's just to come and play his own part in Pirates' success. He wants a club he will love." Dejan concluded.
Where do you expect Pirates to finish next season?
