It was recently revealed that Kaizer Chiefs will move their three home-away-from-home games from Cape Town to Durban this season, and this has sparked some controversy.
Many supporters were upset upon hearing the news, but one of our online supporters, motjakata, has written in to explain why it could be a good idea that the games have been moved to Durban,
"It's good for Chiefs to share home games, guys. In Durban, there are Chiefs supporters, plus we are hungry for soccer games here since AmaZulu went eHlathini. Please guys, don’t be selfish. In essence, Chiefs need to serve all provinces with soccer games, not only Cape Town. Thanks for the support you have shown, we will do the same, and one season will be you again. Amakhoooooooosi!"
Essentially, what he is saying is Amakhosi are a team that belongs to the people and not a province.
Do you agree with this?
