Reader's Voice: Chiefs Have Been Lacking Leadership In Gordinho's Absence

Uthini?

Lorenzo Gordinho's loan move to Bloemfontein Celtic a year ago came as a shock to many. The defender was loaned so Kaizer Chiefs would be able to acquire the services of attacking midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela from Siwelele.

Gordinho explained he has been watching Chiefs' games while he was away to improve and grow as a player on and off the field.

Many fans are anticipating Gordinho's return to Amakhosi. Soccer Laduma reader T Lito is looking forward to the defender's attributes and skills as a player:

“The team has been lacking leadership in that department since your departure. Your ability to read the game has been missing. Your anticipation, your goalscoring ability and your awareness is what was missing there. Welcome back, boy.”

For some fans, it was a reassuring sign to know that Gordinho said he grew and improved as a player during his time at Celtic. Soccer Laduma reader Mentashe voiced his opinion about the defender's presence:

“I must say I was super shocked by you being loaned, but, hey, I'm glad you grew from all that experience but, yho, bro, we missed your presence especially your goals. Welcome back, son of the soil.”

Gordinho's input at Siwelele was appreciated by Soccer Laduma reader SoxWaLesele. He wished the player the best of luck for his future endeavours at Amakhosi and acknowledged the effort he put in during his loan spell:

“Good luck, you really did a good job at our beloved Siwelele.”
