"Aaaaace!" is one of the most deafening choruses you can hear ringing through Orlando Stadium on game day. Few players are adored as much as Oupa Manyisa, and few are as talented. However, the supporters have begun debating whether this is the same "Ace"" we saw before his injury.
Oupa has recently produced a series of "poor" performances, including the giving away of a penalty in a World Cup qualifier for Bafana Bafana. The question was raised on the Soccer Laduma Facebook page recently, and many supporters suggested that people's expectations of Ace are too high as he has just returned from injury.
"I'm not an Orlando Pirates fan but I still think who ever criticises him is arrogant. I mean, he is not even a month back to action and they criticise him already. Please give the guy a break."
"He is trying to recover from a long injury. I think he was rushed back to the field, maybe they should have given him some more rest until he discover his best form. #KC4Life"
Others were less forgiving, and think that age is being cruel to Manyisa
"We could have won in Burkina Faso if he knows what he is doing. He failed to convert an easy chance, the pass from May Mahlangu; he made an unnecessary penalty; he didn't put his body on that guy who scored. Manyisa is finished!"

Is there still more that Ace can show us?
