An interesting, yet odd, debate has sparked in Supporters Club. The supporters are puzzled as to whether the recently awarded midfielder of the season is even a midfielder at all...
This all started when a few supporters made it known that they believe Hlompho Kekana was more deserving of the Midfielder of the Season accolade. Many thought it was unfair that Khama Billiat (despite undoubtedly being the best player) walked away with three awards, including one in a position which is disputed.
"Khama was not used as a midfielder at all." – presasuregee
"Kekana was robbed if you consider the fact that Khama played more as a second striker." – Tchals
"There's no such thing as a second striker bro, it's simply an attacking mid." – Chihuta
"Very good arguments. Billiat is a No. 10. A supporting striker – the link between middle and front." – The Ultimate Tumelo
This debate is difficult to settle, especially as a player can technically play one position on paper and another on the field. So help us settle this, have your say: Did Billiat deserve the Midfielder of the Season award?
Is Billiat even a midfielder at all? Or is he a striker or supporting striker?
