After recently extending the contracts of Ricardo Nascimento (three years) and Siphelele Mkhulise (five years), Mamelodi Sundowns currently have five first team players who are in the final years of their deals with the club. Who do the fans think should leave and who should get a contract renewal?
Anthony Laffor, Lucky Mohomi, Thela Ngobeni, Sibusiso Vilakazi and Bangaly Soumahoro are all currently just a few months shy of seeing their contracts at the club reach their expiry dates.
For some players an exit is highly likely, while for others, a renewal will most probably be on the cards before the end of the season.
So, what does lies in store for these players? And where do the fans want to see them end up?
"Lucky Mohomi to Kaizer Chiefs for Willard Katsande please, Bobby." – amdunyelwa718
"It's time we resort to investing in youth development players." –Schako
"Mohomi has a two-year option – he's going nowhere. Bangaly, Laffor, Ngobeni and Vilakazi – I wish them all the best in their future endeavours. Zebras can take them, we really don't need them at Chloorkop. Makhuma, Makgalwa, Mkhulise, Otladisa, Shozi and Ndlovu all can play in their places." – Mabuti@Sundowns.com
"Khosi faithful, let's rally behind Bobby the Pre-Contract and Free Agents King to get us Mohomi to replace Katsande." – Breezy@1985
"Vilakazi and Laffor, they are the only players there, the other three are too good for the first division." – Miyasi
"Laffor is jumping up and down with joy, knowing the possibility of donning the gold and black jersey is a possibility. Jersey no. 7 is waiting for you at Naturena, boy." – khosiologists
