There is said to be a swap deal simmering up in the air. The latest information has it that newly formed Cape Town City are looking to swap last season’s Black Aces and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane for central defender Tshepo Gumede and keeper Samora Motloung from Orlando Pirates. How do the supporters feel about this?
Some supporters think he would be a great addition to the team and that a new keeper is just what Bucs have been looking for:
“He’s good enough for big teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, or Orlando Pirates.” - Daniel Madenza Kutumela.
A lot of other supporters however, have doubted where Mabokgwane’s place in the team will be.
“I don’t think Pirates need this guy’s services. I don’t even know how he makes the Bafana squad, the keepers Bucs have are better than him.” – Mavusi_12
“If he goes to Pirates his Bafana career is over. Ghana’s former number one knows. Make no mistake, I am a diehard Buccaneer fan but I’m against what they always do, taking goalkeepers that are number one’s for their national teams and putting them on the bench is so uncool.” – Octavious
“Anonymous advice Jackson, don’t come to Pirates if you want to play. You can come if you want better wages, but please don’t complain about game time.” – mokoenajacob.
Do you see this as a smart move if Pirates purchase Mabokgwane? Is it a smart move for Jackson? Will he be the number one?
