'We Want Paez To Strengthen The Downs Bench…' – Fan's Comment

The latest reports have it that Mamelodi Sundowns have shown an interest and are eager to obtain the services of Kaizer Chiefs' Gustavo Paez as Downs head coach Pitso Mosimane weighs his options ahead of the January transfer window.

Paez joined the Phefeni Boys in January on a three-year contract, and has since become an Amakhosi favourite. The striker has been influential for the team, although he has only three goals so far this season.

Supporters Club members have reacted to the reports, with some saying it wouldn't be a good idea for the Venezuelan striker to leave Amakhosi as they believe he has a lot to offer to the club still, while others say that though Sundowns do not really need him, the 27-year-old could warm the Downs bench as a squad option.

Check out some of the comments from our members:

"Paez has never scored more than five goals per season. You can see that he has already reached his usual goal tally, nothing else. Same WhatsApp group as Shaka Zulu Mthembu." – @McCoora

"It's shocking to see Bucs fans mocking Paez while they have Gabuza and Kutumela as strikers." – wash & wear

"Amakhosi, hayi! They have been chasing Sundowns players, Laffor, Castro, Billiat, Mashaba and Themba Zwane, and now their fans are crying when we want to do the same." – indidane

"Paez won't go. He will stay at Chiefs forever." – Lawrence-4LF

"Lol, so Paez gave the Sundowns defence problems so much that Pitso wants to sign him?" – KatJay

"Yes, we want him to strengthen our bench only." – fisto vs zebraditor

Do you think it would be wise for Amakhosi to sell Paez?
