'Sundowns Will Not Be Bullied By Any Player Or Team'
Default

After weeks of the head-spinning saga between Mamelodi Sundowns and Percy Tau, the club finally broke their silence on the issue on Monday afternoon.

The Chloorkop side released a statement stating that the 2017/18 PSL Player of Season has apologised to club president Patrice Motsepe for disclosing confidential information to the media, and failing to report for pre-season. President Motsepe has since given Tau his blessing on move to Brighton & Hove Albion, who are reportedly interested in the attacking midfielder's services.

Supporters Club took to its Facebook page to ask our members if they think Tau did the right thing in apologising to Masandawana. Here is how some of them responded.

"Yes, he has a contract with the club and I blame his advisers." – Lwazi O Gantule

"Yes, there was a possibility that it could have negatively affected his overseas move." – Aviwe Sgaqa

"That team is a good team, they will not be bullied by any player and teams. That's what people are confused about." – Makhisi Zizwe Dube

"It's not the right decision but a wise one. Remember, we are bounded by contracts and there is always the responsible party that owns the contract. Sundowns own him. So anything that they say, goes. They can even sue him for bad behaviour and breach of contract. Khosi for life." – Thabang Mogale Nape

"Yes, he really did the right thing. Nobody is bigger than Mamelodi Sundowns. He only made things simpler for himself." – Sceptre RockLahood

"Yes, as much as he had a great season in the last campaign, he is still contracted to Sundowns. The fact that there is an EPL outfit looking for his signature doesn't mean that Sundowns must forget protocol. The agent went to the media and disclosed all the details, painting Sundowns in a bad light. That's defamation of character, and it's a punishable offence. I'm glad they finally came to their senses so that this transfer can be dealt with in a civil manner." – Andile Profesor Masiza

No he did not do the right thing but he made a wise dicition to go and apologise, Sundowns wanted Tau for them-self so that they can win more trophy and after their done with him, take him out like gabage as we know they do, go and prove them wrong Percy Tau and make our country proud.

People must respect and honour contracts they sign. You came to Sundowns because we are the only team that has been able to produce Overseas material lately, playing in the Champions League has also boosted some of these players' profile. They have Sundowns to thank. Mr Motsepe has spent over R 200 million building this club. These journalist working with Player agents who leak stories think they can use these nasty tactics to force Downs to bend over. Sundowns has never said they don't want Tau to go, in the same line, Sundowns must be compensated good money the seed they have planted, the nurturing and remuneration they have lavished on the player. Stop being nasty to Sundowns, we would do so much to develop the character and skill of an individual to end up destroying them. #KBY

He did the right thing ,he was still going to be at Sundowns for this season. So that was another way of forcing.Sundown is one team that buys players and keep them on the bench or if you are playing well they cant release you
