With less than four days to what is arguably Bafana Bafana's biggest test ever, the South African men's national team seems to be suffering more distress.
Bafana Bafana will take on Senegal in a FIFA World Cup qualifier replay match on Friday, 10 November, at the Peter Mokaba Stadium. It is still unknown as to whether or not SA's first choice goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune will have fully recovered ahead of this must-win encounter.
Hlompho Kekana has also been excused from the Bafana camp following tragic news involving his family. Andile Jali and Bongani Zungu are among those who will not be playing on Friday, and can only play in the second leg away from home next Tuesday.
This comes as total frustration to Supporters Club members as Bafana need to win both encounters against Senegal to secure their berth at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Our members have voiced their concerns regarding the issues surrounding Bafana Bafana players, with some hoping Khune recovers in time for the game, while others' hopes of qualifying are slowly fading away.
Here are some of the comments from our members:
"Only muti can take us to Russia." – AyohBucs
"Hope Itu recovers soon because we really need him. This is history in making. I have faith in our boys. #United4Bafana." – King_YaYa13
"Putting faith in Bafana without King Itu is like saying Chippa, Downs and Matsatsantsa will win the TKO while they watch from the stands." – BANNED PHAZAMISA BACK
What are your words of encouragement as the boys prepare for possibly the biggest game of their lives?
