Orlando Pirates have always been known for bringing in fast, pacy players, and, today, the Buccaneers boast the likes of Riyaad Norodien, Thembinkosi Lorch, Thabo Qalinge and Mahlatse Makudubela on the left wing.
Riyaad Norodien was brought in from Ajax Cape Town at the beginning of this season and has made 12 appearances since. Thembinkosi Lorch, on the other hand, was loaned out at the beginning of the campaign, but his outstanding performances for Chippa United resulted in the 23-year-old being recalled to Mayfair.
Mahlatse Makudubela has only appeared on six occasions for the Black and White in this campaign, which has left the Buccaneer faithful with not much to view, while Thabo Qalinge has shown his worth to all those near and dear to Pirates and with the competition there is for a spot in the team, he will be hoping to his experience does the talking for him.
Head coach Kjell Jonevret has a tough decision to make regarding who should occupy the left wing each match day, and it will all depend on which player raises their hand highest.
