Following the latest developments in the Mamelodi Sundowns/Percy Tau saga, supporters continue to share their views.
It appears the dust has settled between Tau and his employers following reports that the attacking midfielder apologised to the club for his seemingly unimpressive behaviour.
Tau recently went AWOL after several reports emerged that the 24-year-old was not pleased with the club withholding his European dream move. This resulted in the player not pitching up for pre-season training, among other things.
However, the Absa Premiership champions have since released a statement, with president Patrice Motsepe giving the "Young Lion" the green light to finalise his move to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Supporters Club member Liandra Kekeletso Moleya has jumped to the defence of the 2017/18 PSL Player of the Season, insisting that Tau should not have apologised.
"Tau is a good player and a well-disciplined one too. He has been well-behaved throughout in the seasons he spent at Sundowns. He played major role in Sundowns' success," she said.
"They club was supposed to allow him to fulfil his dreams without any hassle. The price tag they put on him appeared as though he is the club's prisoner or slave. It showed that all they really cared about was Tau helping the club to win more trophies and not him to fulfil his dreams.
"Look at what happened to Bongani Zungu and Keagan Dolly's price tags. Khama Billiat saw it early and ran away. Had Tau thrown in the towel on this issue, he would have ended up like Teko Modise.
"Sundowns will eat you like sugar cane and chew you out when there's no sugar left in you."
