'Downs Must Be Aware, Chiefs Won't Lie Down...' – Fan's Comment

As the days to what should be a spectacular encounter count down, fans of the beautiful game cannot wait any longer. This is because Mamelodi Sundowns will lock horns with Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday, 17 October, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

Both Downs and Amakhosi will be looking to better their form in the hopes of increasing their chances in the title race and a successful season at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.

Speaking to Mamelodi Sundowns' media co-ordinator Thulani Thuswa, Themba "Mshishi" Zwane emphasised the importance of this encounter. He went on to say they take note of Amakhosi's readiness for the clash despite the club's poor run in the PSL race and admitted it won't be an easy game. But for Downs' part, they are fully prepared and motivated ahead of the match.

Excited supporters of the beautiful game, who have been engaging and building up to this fixture for some time now, have shared their thoughts, with some saying it will be an easy win for Masandawana, while others argue, saying despite Amakhosi's inconsistent run in the Premiership, they shouldn't be underestimated.

Take a look at some of the comments from the supporters:

"I really don't see Chiefs scoring even a single goal against us, let alone beating us. However, I will be quick to point out that in football anything is possible." – Schakos

"We must be aware of Chiefs, they won't just lie down. We have to play our normal game." – Ndabayakhe

"Mshishi has spoken, I salute this player. He must join Zungu at the end of the season. He's now 27, still playing in PSL. I think he is ready for the move." – Maloh11

"It will be quality vs quantity. The African Champions vs the Maize Club and Stars vs Freebies. We (Downs) have a star and they (Chiefs) don't have it! The sky is the limit!" – the-champion

"We (Sundowns) will be playing a big name, not a big team, and if they (Chiefs) are strong then we are the strongest." – ndleleni_89

"All the best boys (Sundowns), we must not underestimate any team." – cmawa

Chiefs may win downs. But winning downs doest guarantee you champion ship. You need to beat everyone in front of you. And unfortunately that's what downs is good at. Beating everything comes their direction. Hance they are the best team by far.
