Downs Fan: 'Tau Is A Wanted Man In England Because Of Sundowns' High Value'
Default

Premier Soccer League Player of the Season, Percy Tau, has been making headlines due to what seems to be a strained relationship between himself and employers, Mamelodi Sundowns.

It was reported that Tau has attracted interest from English Premier League side, Brighton and Hove Albion. Reports emerged that Masandawana, with whom the Young Lion is contracted to, are demanding more money for the services of the 24-year old than what is on offer by the English club.

There has since been a back-and-forth between Tau and Sundowns, with the player reportedly failing to report for pre-season training. It remains vague as to what is the latest developments are regarding the head-spinning situation between the talented player and the Chloorkop side.

Supporters Club and Downs fan levy madibana, has come out in defence of his beloved team, pointing out that the Absa Premiership champions produce quality players and whoever is in a quest for the services of the player, should be willing to break the bank.

“Tau is a wanted man in England because of Sundowns’ high value and ability to shine worldwide, and against the best on the continent and in the country,” he said.

“People need to stop comparing Sundowns with other PSL teams in the transfer market. the fact that Zungu and Dolly are doing well abroad is another factor of how Europe teams see Sundowns as the ideal team to market on.

“It’s up to those teams now to take the team seriously. If we can hold a big score against Barcelona it means we have experience in quality. It's either they walk as free agents or teams that need them, need to focus on heavy prices.”

Do you think Tau will be at Chloorkop next season?

@hlongwlnn, I would like to differ on that statement, Percy was a ready gem for Sundowns and Sundowns have a tendency to frustrate players who seek for greener pastures, we need to accept soccer is like school its a very short career, Sundowns need to be wise here cause they will loose Percy right out due to agreements between two parties they have already bridged a signed agreement.

Sundowns made Percy Tau to be what he is today and if the boy thinks he is too much of himself and bigger than Sundowns , he must be very careful

Tau is a hot property today because of Sundowns, when was the last time chiefs had a player of Tau's Quality hence they are celebrating Billiat where as Sundowns fans are Celebrating big names Like Jali, Meza and Silva now Manyama and Rantie will be announced soon by the 8 Times PSL Champions. Or by the way Chiefs are the Two Time Maize cup Winners somewhere next to Klerksdorp.

Tau must report for duty. No one is bigger than the club.
