Pressure is increasing on Kaizer Chiefs after Chippa United downed the Naturena team 1-0 on Wednesday night, stretching their winless streak to five consecutive Absa Premiership games.
The Glamour Boys travelled to Port Elizabeth with hopes of getting back to winning ways, having gone four matches without a win. However, it wasn't to be when the home side scored the one and only goal just five minutes into the match courtesy of Abel Mabaso, who was set up nicely by Mark Mayambela.
Supporters have reacted to Amakhosi's defeat to the Chilli Boys, with some believing that the Khosi Nation are sinking so low that they have no chance of contending for the title, but will play just to remain in South Africa's top flight.
Here are some comments from our members:
"Komphela is dismantling our team." – NtsetG
"Chiefs are only playing to keep their PSL status, they're going to be in relegation fight along with Wits and Platinum Stars." – Michaeltshigama
"That's the beauty of the game. Komphela can't carry all the blame. He once said you can't beat the hand that feeds you, that's the management style at Phefeni. The poor guy has no total control of the team like Sir Pitso." – dellah
"Chiefs thought beating Sundowns will land them the league title." – roger-fetumba
"My heart bleeds for king Khune, These players don't protect him these days. Time to go back to our tried and tested backline, i.e. Tower, Gordinho, Rama and Masilela. We need bigger hearts now." – khosiological
What do you think Amakhosi need to do turn things around and achieve the desired results?
