“My team Kaizer Chiefs don't have a plan B. By now, all the teams know how we play. My coach Middendorp, please come up with a plan B. They have figured out how we play with those aerial balls.”
This was the plea from SL Supporter @Bhelesi_Dinangwe who feels that one of the main reason why Chiefs are faltering is because teams have figured them out and they do not have a plan B if their initial game plan does not work out.
In fact, @Mukodeni-Mashaba-Sivhageni feels that Chiefs haven’t unlocked a single team during open play but rely too heavily on set-pieces, making use of their aerial advantage.
“Chiefs have never unlocked anyone; they just create a situation and get a corner kick, free kick or penalty. They hardly get goals from open play. It is simply not their style.”
SL Supporter @Chaledi feels that the lack of a genuine playmaker has contributed to Chiefs lack of goals in their consecutive losses against Maritzburg United and Highlands Park respectively.
“How can you unlock the defence without ball players? Kaizer Chiefs do not have a playmaker. You cannot unlock the defence using ‘skop and donner’ football. Players like Mashiane, Ngcobo, Baccus and Blom can do a job for you, but you too stubborn to see that.”
Meanwhile @TshepoMas feels that Ernst Middendopr needs to change his line-up if he is to get a result in the upcoming Soweto derby.
“Can the coach please stop being stubborn and field a totally different team against Orlando Pirates, the current team is predictable and opposition plans around it. Billiat is a definite no-no, his so-called ‘stardom’ has gotten to his head, let him watch from home, he doesn't deserve to even sit on the stands.”
Do you think Kaizer Chiefs have become predictable?
