As teams shape and shift their squad for next season, the supporters begin to envision what the future holds for their team and also begin to scrutinise management. One of the most criticised men in the industry is Bobby Motaung, but some of our supporters believe this is the wrong view.
Soccer Laduma website reader Lapo_Molebatsi has taken time to explain to Supporters Club that he feels the media representation of Bobby has been unfair.
"You need to stop writing so many negative things about Chiefs. Bobby is part of Chiefs. Whatever spat you have with Chiefs must not affect the relationship that you have with your readers, please. Just remember that some of us are card-holding members of the Chiefs family and we also prefer Soccer Laduma as our source of football news, but we don't want to be caught in between your spat and always have to read all the negativity you publish or directed at Chiefs. Some of the things you publish about Bobby and Chiefs are biased and uncalled for... Hands off Bobby, asseblief. Every negative thing that needs to be said about Chiefs is always directed to Bobby."
So, in the interest of fairness, it is our duty to bring you both sides of the argument. There are many people who blame Bobby Motaung for Chiefs' failures last season, but we must remember that it is a big football club made up of many players and factors that contribute to a team's success or failure.
Do you think the media criticises Bobby Motaung unfairly?
