Reader's Voice: 'Zlatan, You Are Out Of Order'

E Reng Moo?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has fired shots at Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese superstar dared Lionel Messi to prove his worth and move to Italy's Serie A for a new challenge. The Swedish striker has rubbished Ronaldo's comments, saying that joining Juventus is no challenge as the club has won the Serie A title in eight consecutive years.

The spicy comments have sparked a hot debate and some fans have lashed out at Ibrahimovic for his comments.

Soccer Laduma reader Mr Moloto2 was quick to clap back at the LA Galaxy striker, and presented him with a unique challenge:

"Zlatan, you are out of order. Every great player needs good players around him to make the team tick. So how do you suggest Ronaldo should go to an unknown or weak team and revive it? As a top player, you have certain standards, like which team you can play for. Why don't you come here to South Africa and play for Maritzburg United or Chippa United and win the Absa Premiership since you are a team reviver?"

Some fans say Ibrahimomvic has missed the point of Ronaldo joining the Old Lady. Soccer Laduma reader believes joining the club presents a valid and real challenge:

"Just like many of you, Zlatan has missed Ronaldo's point completely. Ronaldo is not talking about helping a particular club to win trophies, rather about joining a club in a different country and league, with a different footballing culture. Messi has been in Spain only, let him try and be a leading goalscorer in other leagues like the EPL (English Premier League), Serie A, etc. That's what Ronaldo is saying. It's stupid of Zlatan to say Ronaldo should have joined a B division team and uplift them. Messi is the best in Spain only."

Flipping Lyf also thinks Juventus is a challenge for Ronaldo as the club has not won the UEFA Champions League since 1996:

"Zlatan, Juventus signed CR7 with one eye, to help them win the UCL because it's the only trophy missing in their cabinet (since 1996). Madrid did that in 2009 and guess what, they won four times with the king, so it is a challenge."
