Fans React To The PSL's Biggest Signings

Khama Billiat, Lebogang Manyama, Andile Jali, Phakamani Mahlambi, Mosa Lebusa, Lebohang Maboe, Brilliant Khuzwayo, Vincent Pule, Godfrey Walusimbi and Jose Ali Meza all joined new clubs in the PSL just before the transfer window shut this past weekend. But what do the fans have to say about the transfers?

Kaizer Chiefs picked up someone who is regarded as one of the league's best player in Billiat before then securing the services of Manyama after his exit from Konyaspor in Turkey. Their signing of Godfrey Walusimbi, a Ugandan international, was also regarded as big news due to his continental and international experience. However, some have interpreted this move as saying that our local players need to play better.

Masandawana's window was an exceedingly busy and expensive one as owner Patrice Motsepe opened his cheque book with the intention of bringing in huge names such as Jali, Mahlambi, Meza and Lebusa – who was, at the time, wanted by Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs – while also bringing in the talented Maboe too.

However, the Buccaneers took Khuzwayo from their Soweto rivals and also signed Pule, who was, to a great degree, also linked with a switch to Naturena.

Unfortunately for the three clubs, none of their new signings have taken them to new heights just yet, with all three having suffered elimination from the MTN8.

Here are what some of the fans have to say about some of the league's biggest signings in the window.

"If a small team doesn't have a bunch of quality players, it has a good coach who will groom his players. Take a look at Free State Stars and Maritzburg United." – scoreman99

"Take a look at all those signings. There is more competition in the PSL now than ever." – Bucs325

"Manyama, Billiat and Walusimbi for Chiefs (are the best signings of the window)." – Mountainofmolotov

"Don't underestimate Tokelo Rantie, Mxolisi Macuphu and Linda Mntambo, they will catch you by a surprise." – PROPHET OF DOOM

"No way Walusimbi is a bigger signing than Tokelo Rantie. If Walusimbi signed for CTC and Rantie signed for Chiefs, you were going to put in Rantie as a big signing and leave Walusimbi." – AndilzZ
