After an emphatic 3-0 victory over Black Leopards on Wednesday, Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane responded to criticism against him following Toni Silva’s open letter and said it's easy for players to approach the media to complain about game time, and asked who he must take out of the squad if that is the case.
Mosimane's critics have lashed out at him and did not believe his reasoning. Korope Tuelo Jnr George seems to be a tough critic of the Sundowns coach and validated Toni Silva's grievances from his open letter that Mosimane is destroying players by benching them for long periods of time:
"Then Toni is right, you signed them to weaken the opposition teams. If you have such a good squad, you surely don't need them. You can't sign a player who commands regular playing time and tell them to come wait for their chance. You are really destroying such players, Pitso."

Soccer Laduma reader Xolani Xoske Mahlangu echoed Korope's words and questioned Mosimane's decision to buy many players:
"If [you have] no one to take out, then why sign so many players?"

Although Pitso's critics questioned his words, he had fans who defended him. For example, Nyauza Makhendzo Ntwanantle said Mosimane never forces players to join Sundowns and that it is not his responsibility if they fail to compete:
"Pitso never pointed at a player with a gun [to] force him to join Sundowns. It's their own decision to join Sundowns. So when they fail to compete, it's not Pitso's problem."

Silva accused Pitso of destroying players by buying and benching them. Is he really destroying players at Sundowns? Let us know in the comments section below!
