“This time around, there will be no ‘running out of time.’ A heavy revenge is awaiting Orlando Pirates at the hands of Nurkoviç, driven by Castro, even though they will be directed by Khama, under the supervision of Manyama, headed by Captain Salt & Pepper.”
These were the sentiments of SL Supporter @ Ofentse Kakapa Mahatlhe after the Telkom Knockout draw served up a mouthwatering Soweto Derby amongst the fixtures.
This was the draw that a faction of Kaizer Chiefs supporters were hoping for, and now their wish has been granted.
SL Supporter @162Sim, who is a staunch Buccaneer, feels that perhaps this is not the best time for his side to be facing rampaging Chiefs, who are sweeping aside everything in their path.
“I think this draw has come at the wrong time. Looking at the way Pirates play. I don’t see us coming back with a win from Chiefs. Hope by the time we meet, Rulani would have fixed his defense well. All the best Bucs!”
For all their confidence ahead of the game, SL Supporter @cabinet10 is throwing caution to the wind ahead of the highly-anticipated fixture.
“I am the biggest Chiefs fan, but you know the Soweto Derby is not just an ordinary game. All players want to showcase their skills and potential so it's hard to predict. The last whistle after 90 minutes will tell us who is going to the next stage of the tournament.”
While all the focus is on the derby, SL Supporter @Da vinci111 feels that there will be a different champion altogether, touting dark horses Supersport United to clinch the title.
“It looks like SuperSport will clinch this one. They may get the treble this year. If they clinch this one because Sundowns may not be back from Eastern Cape. If Pirates beat Chiefs, then Supersport will clinch it, because the only team that can challenge SuperSport is Sundowns and Chiefs and there's a possibility that both can be eliminated in the second round.”
What is the encounter you look forward to most in the Telkom Knockout?
