Downs Supporter: This Is A Warm-Up Game For Us

Sundowns will lock horns with Bidvest Wits in the MTN8 final in Mbombela Stadium today. Both teams are high in confidence. Sundowns have just knocked Zesco United out of the CAF Champions League, while Wits have been winning games and eliminated the Soweto Giants from this competition.

Supporters Club sat down with Mzekezeke, a Sundowns Supporter, to discuss upcoming final.

Beaver Nazo: Mzekezeke, how are you doing?

Mzekezeke: Sikhona baba, singezwa kuwe.

BN: Sundowns lock horns with Wits at Mbombela Stadium for the MTN8 final today. Your thoughts?

Mzekezeke: Mamelodi Sundowns are in two finals in the space of four days. That was not by fluke. This cup belongs in Chloorkop, with Mamelodi Sundowns.

BN: Wits are confident that they're gonna beat you tomorrow...

Mzekezeke: Wits are students, so they are using mathematics, while we play what they call carpet football. So they need to be taught. We will teach them carpet football so that they can add it to the mathematics in order for them to pass the exams.

BN: So Sundowns are ready for the Students?

Mzekezeke: This game is just a warm-up for us. The most important game is the CAF Champions league two-legged final. We are just going there for when people Google to find out who did Sundowns beat in this season's MTN8 final. Remember when we beat Black Aces in the final, people couldn't find them on Google because they were in a lower division. Fortunately, this time, Wits are in the PSL.

BN: Any message for Masandawana?

Mzekezeke: I say to all Masandawana all over the world – remember, we have a branch in the US – let's rally behind the team. Let us paint Mbombela yellow. There's a song that says, "Asambe Dolly siyothathi cup e Mbombela". Let's get to the stadium early.
