Speculation doing the rounds in our local footballing circles is that current champions Mamelodi Sundowns are interested in Bidvest Wits forward Sibusiso Vilakazi and former Everton player Steven Pienaar. Purchasing both these players would come at hefty prices, and could leave a dent even in owner Patrice Motsepe's bank account.
Speaking to Supporters Club, Kabo Yellow fan China voiced his opinion on both players and explained why he would have one of them at Downs.
"When you look at both Steven and Sibusiso, they are great players," he said.
"With that said, I would rather have Vilakazi join the team because I believe that he still has much more to offer.
"Not that Pienaar wouldn't be able to make a good contribution, but Villa is younger and has more years to play.
"I admire the fact that 'Schillo' has international experience and that he could bring something different into the team, but we must look to having players for the long term and, unfortunately, age is catching up to him.
"He is a classy player but I believe coach Pitso can bring the best out of Vilakazi as well."
Who do you think would be the better option for Sundowns to invest in, Pienaar or Vila?
