Orlando Pirates fan-favourite, Tlou Segolela, has been completely out of the picture at the Parktown-based club this season. His omission from the team’s CAF Confederations Cup squad raised even more eyebrows about the player’s future at the club.
The speedy winger is yet to make a league appearance for Pirates so far this season, despite been fully fit and available for selection. A former regular in the Bucs starting line-up, the speedy winger has been enjoying less and less game time in a Bucs shirt over the past two seasons. In fact, he only managed seven league starts in the last campaign, and was on the verge of a loan move to Mpumalanga Black Aces before the start of the season, thought the move failed to materialise.
Sources close to the Moletjie-born winger have told Soccer Laduma that Segolela has made it clear to the club that he isn’t interested in a loan move. They further claim that Segolela wants to fight for his place in the team, or be released from his contract instead of being loaned out.
With the January transfer window in full swing, it remains to be seen whether Segolela is going to make a move or not - as he still has 18 months remaining on his contract with the Buccaneers.
Do you think Sox still has a future with Bucs?
