It was almost a year ago when Bloemfontein Celtic visited the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium and hammered Mamelodi Sundowns by five goals to nil.
Having lost six of their 10 league fixtures in 2016, and claimed just one victory, Celtic went into Wednesday night's fixture against Sundowns – who had not yet tasted defeat in 2016 – very low on confidence, with coach Serame Letsoaka's job on the line.
However, after the 3-1 win against the log leaders, it is unknown whether Letsoaka has saved his job, or if Kosta Papic will take over, as was rumoured to be the case.
The Siwelele faithful will be pleased with the fact that Lehlohonolo Seema was called into the coaching team after they lodged numerous complaints against the appointment of Duncan Lechesa.
A Celtic supporter, who preferred to remain anonymous, had the following to say after the club's victory over Downs.
"We are happy about the result," the fan said.
"We are also happy that Lehlohonolo Seema came in to assist the coach because we don't want Duncan Lechesa as the assistant coach, he's not good for our team."
With news surfacing on the Soccer Laduma website, however, that Kosta Papic was in Bloemfontein recently, it remains to be seen if he will take over from the former national U20 boss, or if he will be roped in as an assistant coach or technical director.
"We don't know whether he will be able to keep his job or not, but the management promised us that, regardless of the result, Papic will take over. But after that win yesterday, we don't know what will happen," the Celtic supporter continued.
"Don't get me wrong, Serame is not a bad coach. In fact, he's a very good coach.
"He just came to the team at the wrong time."
