These were the words of Mamelodi Sundowns’ head coach Pitso Mosimane during an interview with SuperSport after a draw against Polokwane City as a result of goalkeeper Denis Onyango’s own goal.
Fans such as Mhlekazi S’ginumkhonto Gujumbura backed the coach for protecting his goalkeeper. The Soccer Laduma reader remains defiant in the quest to win the league and has acknowledged Onyango’s mistake:
“Well spoken coach. Yes, it’s a costly error but life goes on. Sundowns is still very much in the running for the league. It’s not like [Bidvest] Wits and [Orlando] Pirates will win all their remaining games.”

Musah Olandela Ukhuzani Nzimande agrees with Mhlekazi. The Soccer Laduma reader made it clear that Onyango has been forgiven and seems to hint that the struggle continues in the quest to retain the league title:
“That was an honest mistake, we’ve forgiven Onyango. Every player makes mistakes. Aluta Continua [the struggle continues].”

However, not all fans have forgiven and forgotten. Thabiiso Aubrey Kekana may have forgiven the player but the anger still lingers:
“Denis [Onyango] I forgive you but I’m still angry. You cost us three points ey.”
