Chiefs To Sign The 'Next Billiat'

Kaizer Chiefs are set to announce all their new signings next week. However, there are one or two deals that are already known and confirmed. Among them is the signing of Sibusiso Khumalo in a swap deal from SuperSport United. Another confirmation is the acquisition of a Zimbabwean duo from Chicken Inn… But just who are they?

In order to find out more about the players in question, we called Supporters Club's Zimbabwean correspondent Shepard Sithole to ask about him Edmore Chirambadare and Mitchell Katsvairo from Chicken Inn, and he has some advice for Steve Komphela on how to use the newcomers.

"These boys are very good, they are very dangerous. Mark my words, they will do great things next season," he said.

"Mitchell Katsvairo is a very good player, very dangerous. He can be especially lethal down the left-hand side. He has a very similar style to Khama Billiat. Not the same player and not the same size, but similar to Billiat.

"Edmore Chirambadare is a brilliant player, but Steve must be smart about how he uses him. This boy needs to be placed behind the striker. He is good as an out-and-out striker as well, but he plays best behind the strikers, like Parker."

Shepard says his only worry is the competition already at Kaizer Chiefs. He thinks it will be very interesting to see which players break into the starting line-up next season, between the old guard of legends and the new arrivals at the club.

What do you think of the signing of Zimbabwean players? Is the talent concentrated there? Who else should Chiefs sign?
