The much-anticipated moment has come and gone. Kaizer Chiefs, on Monday, announced eight of their new signings for the next season. Reactions have been mixed: many have celebrated the new signings, while others think they are still not up to standard of the mighty Amakhosi.
"Was that all? I expected more." – Msasi Bangi
"I can't believe this! More quantity, no quality." – lizwimsomill
"Only eight? Come on Bobby, where is Ntshangase?" – Khosi Addict
There were a number of big-name signings to the squad, the biggest of which was probably Ramahlwe Mphahlele, the former Mamelodi Sundowns captain. Many supporters have thanked Bobby Motaung for acquiring his services, but many more believed there would be some shock signings, while others expected the names of Kuda Mahachi and Siphelele Ntshangase to be included.
"And to think Chiefs management had to put their supporters in suspense for a whole week for such. And even to dignify this nonsense with a press conference." – gudinuf
Chiefs management also revealed that more signings would be made before the start of the new season. Most supporters are not displeased with any of the signings, but many feel there could be more big names, and many are more shocked at the changes in technical staff rather than the acquisition of new players.
