As Kaizer Chiefs look to bolster their squad ahead of next season after their recent clear-out, the news of a possible signing of Mamelodi Sundowns’ Ramahlwe Mphahlele has been circulating in the rumour mill, and the defender would be a great inclusion to the club's backline, according to Amakhosi super fan Saddam Maake.
"We would love to have Rama in our team," he said.
"He is a great defender and he combines well with Itumeleng Khune and Erick Mathoho as I have seen at Bafana."
Since the release of Tefu Mashamaite from Naturena, the team's defence has been rather sloppy, and Daniel Cardoso has not been as solid as compared to the partnership of Mathoho and Mashamaite.
"When Tefu left, we lost an important individual in the team," Maake added
"Rama will be great but he can’t replace Mashamaite.
"We all need to understand that Mphahlele is his own player, he has his own morals and his own playing style.
"With that said, I say we should try by all means to bring him into the club."
Steve Komphela will seek to use this off-season to put all the missing pieces together and find the right players to make Chiefs unstoppable in the 2016/17 campaign.
Do you think that Ramahlwe would be a good signing for Chiefs?
