Bucs Fans Ask Questions About Rulani...

Following a spate of disappointing results, a faction of Orlando Pirates fans have voiced their opinion regarding head coach Rulani Mokwena.

It has been revealed that Pirates management are set to meet this week regarding the vacant head coach positition.

Mokwena’s first two games as Bucs head coach reads: one draw and one loss. It also happens to be Pirates’ fourth game without scoring a goal.

The 34-year-old Mokwena has filled the hot seat vacated by Serbian Milutin Sredojevic, who has taken up a post as Zamalek coach.

While Pirates’ latest performance against Amazulu was not the worst, it certainly was far from the championship quality expected from their ardent fans.

While a few Bucs fans feel that Mokwena should be given a chance to grow into his new role, others feel that perhaps he is in way over his head and that someone new is needed at the helm.

Check out some of the supporters’ views.

“Pirates is too big for Rulani, they must get coach before is too late”

SL Supporter: Coach Trevor
“I used to respect Rulani's behind the scenes hard work until he badly commented about Chiefs' management... something that was none of his business. And people who truly know him... call him the ‘Google Coach’."

“You can't be drawing with AmaZulu and expect us to think you will win the league. Rulani has been with Pirates for 2 full seasons, those who want us to be patient with him must be MAD. AmaZulu is not one of those ultra-defensive teams, otherwise we will forever struggle against the likes of SSU, Highlands Park, Wits etc. The person looks like he is still experimenting instead of rectifying last two seasons’ mistakes and converting those many draws into wins. To win the league you must punish the weak teams and grind out results even when you are not playing well.”

SL Supporter: Coach Trevor
“I thought Rulani was the guy behind Sundowns' success... and he said he is the guy behind Pirates' so called success (trophyless success) And now he's given the Hot Seat... and here he is celebrating goalless draws...”

SL Supporter: RyanPule
“Coach Rulani is a FAKE, talks to much and nothing to offer. Thinks he is special and has done nothing (but been) an imposter. Arrogant man.”

Do you think Rulani is the man to lead Pirates forward this season?
