Orlando Pirates have been one of the busiest clubs in the PSL transfer window, with a number of a players coming in and leaving the Mayfair-based team. A recent tip-off mentioned by our Siya Crew was that of veteran defender Rooi Mahamutsa and his uncertain future in the Buccaneer ship.
This news has ruffled some feathers among the Pirates faithful as Mahamutsa has been a key individual in the heart of the Ghosts' defence over the years.
"It is a difficult situation to be in, especially for us as the supporters who have developed a relationship with these players," Orlando Pirates fan Dejan Miladinovic said.
"Mahamutsa is an experienced player who has helped the team on numerous occasions, even winning titles with the club.
"From my side, he has done a great job and he deserves to remain at the club."
There seems to be a lot of heartache as Dejan pointed out how the fans have no say in which players are shown the door.
"As the supporters, we have no authority to make any decisions so we just have to accept what management has done and will do in the future," he added.
"I wish that Rooi would be given the opportunity to have a role in the team, whether it is on or off the field."
As we now wait patiently for more announcements to be made, it will be interesting to see which other players do not make the cut for coach Muhsin Ertugral's squad.
Do you think letting Mahamutsa would be a big loss for Pirates?
