It emerged on Thursday that former Bafana Bafana star defender and Free State Stars assistant coach Bradley Carnell will be assisting Muhsin Ertugral at Orlando Pirates next season. The supporters have some questions, answers, and thoughts on the matter…
Some expressed confusion, asking what this meant for the original structures at Pirates, particularly with regards to Tebogo Moloi's future, who has been battling with health issues recently.
"Congratulations to Bradley. So now what happens to Tebza?" – atlijozi
Other supporters have seen the humour in Carnell joining Pirates as an ex-Chiefs player. Furthermore, many have expressed distress at the fact that a former Pirates player was not hired for the job.
"Bucs is now technically Khosified. Ertugral, Elsa, Carnell, and Fernandez. They must acquire Bobby lastly and close shop." – Coolbaams
However, a lot of supporters see the value in the fact that some of our ex-legends are beginning to creep into top technical positions in South African football.
"I admit that it's a good move for them and SA football can only get better if former internationals like Carnell join big teams to develop their coaching." – Bournekhosi
Do you think it was a wise move from Bucs management to employ Carnell? Why/why not?
