Life on the football field has not been an easy ride for Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Keagan Buchanan. The 24-year-old recently spent months on the sidelines with a knee injury. However, since making his debut for Amakhosi, the player has been hailed for his progress by head coach Steve Komphela.
Many doubted the signing of Buchanan as it was claimed he was brought in to fill the void left by Reneilwe Letsholonyane, who, for almost 10 years, was arguably the driving force for the black and gold. Even his former coach at Bloemfontein Celtic, Serame Letsoaka, who was recently relieved of his duties, stated that he was yet to see what the central midfielder had to offer because of his lack of game time with Phunya Sele Sele.
However, after his debut for Chiefs in the Macufe Cup, the former Celtic midfielder has been growing from strength to strength, and will certainly want to prove his doubters wrong as he continues to find his feet once again.
Do you think Buchanan can fill the void left by Yeye?
