The PSL will have a fresh look next season. Some of the existing squads will have almost entirely new rosters, and then there will be entirely new teams competing as well. University of Pretoria and Jomo Cosmos will no longer be around, to be replaced by Highlands Park and Baroka FC. It seems many supporters are throwing their weight behind the underdogs, and are hoping for Baroka to shake the tree…
Bakgaga have been making decent strides in readying their team for life in the big leagues next season. A number of key signings have already been made, the latest of which is goalkeeper Innocent Mabangeni from the ABC Motsepe League. The team does not seem interested in buying established names.
"There's no small team in the PSL." – Thobnaldo
"What I like about Baroka is that they don't sign rejects, and develop young players which is good for SA football and talent." – Iminald Khosified
"Leicester won with unknowns. Baroka have proved to be very competitive." – The_Diski_God
"They will do the Leicester City style." – Ond_Gotze
It seems Baroka mean business next season, but they are coming as a surprise package in that no one has heard of these players being signed from the ABC Motsepe League. They come with confidence and they come to win. Let's wait and see what happens.
What do you think of Baroka's chances next season? What do you make of their signing policy so far?
