It's open season! Players are changing clubs like T-shirts and the supporters are beginning to get an idea of what they are up against in 2016/17, and which weapons they will have at their disposal to do battle with. The latest announcement has come from Baroka FC, and it seems the supporters are delighted with their signing policy.
Baroka have announced the signing of 13 players and the releasing of 10 as they attempt to form a dangerous and competitive team for next season. Not one of those signings are from PSL a team, but rather teams from the NFD and the ABC Motsepe League. It is a bold move, one that has been hailed by the supporters.
"This is good because they didn't take players from PSL big teams. Big ups." – cwelele 10
"Baroka is doing well to beef up their squad. I am happy for them because they are signing young stars, not PSL rejects (madalas)." – Aubrey Sadawana
"They did well against PSL top teams using their inexperienced players; what can stop them now? Baroka are not copycats, they do what they know best. Good signings." – My Yellow
Do you think Baroka are wise to stick to the unknowns, or should they have mixed some PSL experience into their side?
