Bradley August is back, and has answered the rest of your questions! Today, he discusses his coaching desires, the difference between the Bafana squad of the past and the current team, as well as his thoughts on the developments structures in South Africa.
Are you still involved in football? – Tau_Sebata
Bradley August: Yes, I am busy with coaching with the local teams in Cape Town.
What would you say is the difference between the Bafana Bafana team of the past and the current squad? – Celine Abrahams
BA: You can't really compare because the Bafana of the past mostly had the overseas guys playing in the team, now it's a different era when you see the local PSL players in the squad. It's just very different at the moment, with all the changes in the game and the different styles and tactics that have come in.
What do you think of the development structures in our country? Do you think it has improved? – Nik Kikinis
BA: I think that we are still a long way off compared to the rest of the world. It's not bad and it will get better as time goes on as we see a lot of campaigns taking place to discover and nurture the talent that we do have.
Do you have any desire to coach a PSL team? – Daniel Mendes
BA: Yes, of course, I would love to! As a young coach, I have a desire to move up the ranks. I don't want to rush things so I would like to start in the NFD, maybe as an assistant for about two or three years and then move into the PSL.
