With a support base as wide as the Khosi Nation's, there are many different wants and needs. All supporters have their opinions about how they can best move their team forward. One thing the supporters know for sure is that Chiefs needs strikers. Many have suggested that they should go looking on their neighbour's lawn for new toys, so to Zimbabwe we go…
There are currently some troubling statistics regarding the Glamour Boys: seven games, no win… 10 goals conceded… two goals scored.
It has been reported that, in an effort to fix this, the Naturena management is looking to acquire two Chicken Inn strikers, Mitchell Katsvairo and Edmore Chirambadare. Not many of our South African supporters will have heard of them, so we asked our Zimbabwean Supporters Club correspondent Shepard Sithole for some insight.
"They are very good. If Chiefs sign them, they won’t regret it," he said.
"Mitchell Katsvairo is the one who scored the goal against Sundowns in Zimbabwe. They are both similar to Knowledge Musona.
"They should also add Ronald 'Rooney' Chitiyo. He is at Harare City, he is good and can fill the position left by Mandla Masango."
Is Chiefs doing the right thing by going to Zimbabwe to look for strikers? Why do some of our most talented strikers come from our neighbours and not here?
