Mpumalanga has lost one of its brightest sons. Mpumalanaga Black Aces were sold earlier this week and is, in all likelihood, being renamed and moved to Cape Town. In the wake of this destruction remains the hearts and tears of the supporters who once called this club home.
"We know nothing, we have been told nothing," Aces superfan Mama Pule said.
"We have just heard the news but no one has spoken to us.
"I am very angry, you know, I have been supporting this team since 2008. With my money I have followed them around, to Joburg, Durban, wherever.
"I love this team, and now they just push us aside like we are nothing."
It seems the sale of this club has really hurt the supporters. It is especially damaging for the province of Mpumalanga, because, when Aces exit the PSL, they will have no teams representing them in the big leagues, unless Mbombela United gain promotion.
"I wish the PSL would stop this trade," Mama Pule continued.
"You can't sell anything without telling us. I don't know, but they didn't even come say sorry or thank you for the support to us.
"I have a headache, I can't sleep, I'm very angry."
Should clubs be allowed to relocate? What is the right way to handle a situation like this?
